Find answers to some of our most frequently asked questions below.
- How are children and families referred to your programs?
CSB currently serves children (age 18 and under) who reside throughout South Carolina and North Carolina and their families. The majority of our referrals come through hospitals across the Carolinas. However, many families who are aware of CSB contact us directly if they have a child that has been diagnosed with cancer. Since our founding in 2001 we have served hundreds of children and their families.

CSB is committed to serving the whole family throughout their entire journey with childhood cancer. We serve each child and their family from the time they are diagnosed until they reach the age of 18.
